July 2006 - NEW CARL WEINGARTEN ALBUM

For those of you who tune in and enjoy the music of Carl Weingarten, I am please to let you all know that he has sent me a new album. Released in the latter part of last year, the title is Lcoal Journeys and it features Carl performing his pecial kind of music on Dobro, Electric Guitar, Electric Slide Guitar and effects. For me, a special bonus is that the music also features my favourite bassist of all time - Michael Manring.

If you aren't familiar with Carl's rather special way of playing, I would recommend this CD as a good introduction. The tracks are now included in the station repetoire, but, as most of you already know, the playlist is randomised, so I cannot guarantee when you will hear them. However, if you want a sampler and don't want to rely on serendipity to find it for you .. you can go to Carl's site - Multiphase Records - and hear a couple of tracks (Real Audio format). Here is the Local Journeys Page.

I am also eagerly awaiting a copy of the very recently released Invisibility, a collaboration between Carl and Forrest Fang. This ppromises to be an interesting new perspective on Carl's playing, and a not-to-be-missed for true Weingartedn or Fang Aficionados. Here is the Foundry Records info page on the release.

REMEMBER, IF YOU CANNOT FIND THE MUSIC IN YOUR LOCAL STORE, YOU CAN ORDER IT DIRECTLY FROMM THE SITES ABOVE

26th June 2006 - NO MORE OAK

Unfortunately, and sadly, our very good friends at oak.rpg.pl no longer have the bandwidth to provide us with a relay station. They have stood by us, and hosted 30 streams of Tribulation Radio for over two years, and I would like to express my deepest thanks to them for their unselfish support of free music.

If anyone else would like to step into the breach and offer a relay service, please don't be shy. Contact me and we can talk it through to see if it will suit you.

1st June 2006 -TRIBULATION LIVES AGAIN

After a long, long period of technical issues, comlacency, laziness, live music demands, other hobbies and many more limiting factors, I am pleased to say that I have decided to resurrect Radio Tribulation and see how she flies. If all goes well I will also revitalise trib-too - the Experimental Electronic Station featuring all my Russian friends from Electroshock Records.

Right now we are only broadcacting from the main station here, but I am hoping that my very good friends at oak.rpg.pl will bring the relay streams back online too.

JUST A THOUGHT BUT ...

At any time of the day or night, 365 days a year, there are about 15 people who like the kind of music you are listening to, enough to tune in to Radio Tribulation ... Have you ever wondered what they are thinking ... what they like and don't like ... what suggestions they might have about improving the pleasure of the listeners and browsers ... where the best music stores are in their area ... where to get this sort of music by mail-order ... or have you ever just wanted to say hello to another spaced out individual from somewhere else in the galaxy ????

Well ... You can, right now. We have a discussion forum set up on this site just for you all to chat with eachother and us. All you need to do is register (for free) and start posting. For example ... Who's the guy who dials in from New Zealand almost every day, and listens for zillions of hours?? Talk to me ...

I have also put up a special set of forums for Dutch, German and French visitors so you can chat in your own language with eachother - If anyone wants Spanish or Portuguese or any other language all you have to do is ask.

Your privacy and personal details are guaranteed to be safe - we will not use them in any way except within the forum, nor will my operating system allow any spambots to harvest them- have no fear.

Enjoy ... Trib
