November 18th, 2002 - Moving Slowly Forward
Well we've moved on. We've sarted getting down to skinning the contents pages as well
as the main navigation "container". the first job was to sort out the size and shape of the
boxes, and their headings and spacing, o that we can build standardized skin modules. Moving
on from there, I finally got over my mental block about how to load and call the skinning
routines inside the lower frames in the set. Suddenly it's beginning to look
more like a web site, and less like a building plot. Soon we should be updating the
contents of the individual "winlets" and then we'll be flying the home page for real.
(edit -- much later the same day -- We've just started to put up some content for those panels too)
Once that's all done, we'll be gathering our thoughts on what to pull together
for the portfolio and tutorial pages. It's beginning to feel a little more hopeful, and
it's certainly more exciting than sitting plotting over a blank page. On the other hand,
the sins which are up at present are only placeholders, just to give us a chance to play
with the skinning routines. I don't really like them much, and will be hoping to change
them as soon as I have some content on the pages.
