The first of Prout's new powercats the Panther 64 is currently nearing completion at our factory.  She will be launched in April and , following sea trials in the UK, will be shipped to Port Everglades in Florida.  Developed in close collaboration with our newly appointed US Distributors, her specification has been designed specifically for the US market.  A demonstration boat will be available in West Palm Beach from May 1998.

The Panther 64 is powered by twin 1150 hp V12 MTU engines driving Vosper Thornycroft "Vosjets".  These combined with the Hysacat foil lift system will give a top speed in excess of 40 knots.

The interior has been totally re-designed by the World renowned interior designer Ken Freivokh.  The boat in build features layout "Option A" which gives her owner a full size master stateroom with an ensuite bathroom and an office/day cabin, which runs the entire length of the starboard hull.  The port hull contains the guest VIP suite, a Pullman suite and the crew accommodation.  The enormous saloon with its comprehensively equipped galley has been designed to allow easy entertaining for family and friends as well as elegant dining if required.

The power catamaran concept, pioneered by the Prout brothers in the 1960s, has come of age.  The many advantages of the catamaran hull form including stability, shallow draft and fuel efficiency which have proved irresistible to commercial operators are being increasingly recognized by the leisure market

The new Panther 64 - a stunning flagship.
